Covering one year of U.S. history studies, this map
program takes the class from the early 17th century to the
eve of the Civil War. It covers all the must-have topics:
early explorers, 17th century European settlements, trade
with the native nations, economic activities and ethnic
makeup of the 13 Colonies, Atlantic trade and slavery, the
American Revolution, U.S. expansion, the Mexican War,
and Trails to the West.
The program includes a comprehensive teacher's guide
filled with classroom activities, background information, and lesson plans. It comes with corresponding student
desk maps consisting of four 23" x 17" panels. Also
included are four matching overhead transparencies.
The maps included in the program offer more scope
and content than standard textbook maps. While our
American Revolution panel features war campaigns,
it goes well beyond that, displaying the Proclamation
Line of 1763, which was directly responsible for the
Stamp Act, and the expanded Quebec Boundary, which
frustrated colonial aspirations toward settling the West. |
